Saturday’s visit of Southampton to the Brit is a must win game if the Potters are going to hold out any hope of play-off berth over the next few weeks.

Vital Quotes:

Hopes will have been raised by Friday’s signing of striker Jon Parkin, but Tony Pulis has cautioned against anyone getting their hopes up too much. He told the Sentinel: ‘He seems to have lost his way just a little at Hull for some reason, so we’re hoping this is the right opportunity to get him moving again. When he’s a 110% fit and raring to go he’s a really good player.’

Stoke City Team News:

There were early injury doubts for Hendrie, Griffin and Higginbotham but it is hoped all will start. Dominic Matteo is definitely out with a foot injury and former Saint, Ricardo Fuller is serving the final match of his four match ban. Jonathan Fortune is available after resigning on loan and Jon Parkin is expected to make his debut for the Potters alongside Mama Sidibe up front.

Player to watch: Jon Parkin

He may not be 110% match fit, but he’s a striker!

Southampton Team News:

Former Potters’ loan player, Kenwyne Jones is ruled out with an ankle injury but Darren Powell and Alexander Ostlund are both available after recovering from injuries.

Player to watch: Gzregorz Rasiak

The 28 year old Polish international has proved a handful for defences all season with 18 goals to his name. He will be a big test for the best defence in the Championship.

Match Facts & Stats

Big six pointer but the form book does not look good with the Saints winning at St. Mary’s back in October and taking all the points in both matches last season.
