Title chasing Tottenham Hotspur put on a footballing masterclass at the Britannia Stadium as they blew away a lacklustre Stoke City.
A brace from England international`s Harry Kane and Dele Alli gave Spurs a comfortable 4-0 win that means they close the gap on league leaders Leicester to 5 points.
Mauricio Pochettino`s outfit flew out the blocks, getting into their stride from the off with exciting football, played at superb pace, with the variance of stunning possession football and breath-taking range of passing.
From goalkeeper Lloris to striker Kane, the whole of the Spurs side knew their roles and showed togetherness that has propelled the London outfit to second in the league.
Whilst Stoke on the other hand seemed weary, disjointed and like a team that has nothing left to play for in the dying embers of the season.
Hughes made four changes to the side that shipped four goals at Anfield last week, but it didn`t bring any changes to the fortunes of the Potters.
Shay Given was handed his debut for Stoke, but was unable to keep out Harry Kane`s exquisite shot, after he dropped his shoulder on the edge of the area and curled it into the far corner to give Tottenham an early lead.

Tottenham finally doubled their lead when Dele Alli exploited space down the middle of the pitch and after a superb first touch, produced a delightful chip over the advancing Shay Given.
Alli could have made it three moments later after a carbon copy opportunity developed, but the English midfielder decided to round Given this time, but could only roll his strike against the post when it seemed easier to score.
It wasn`t long until Tottenham did have their third though after Lamela strode down the wing and squared the ball to Harry Kane who scored his 24th Premier League campaign.
Spurs wrapped up the victory after Dele Alli smashed home a right footed volley to send the Tottenham faithful into delirium.
Dele Alli was later substituted and was given a standing ovation by both the Tottenham fans and the remaining Stoke fans left in the Britannia Stadium.
After seeing the impressive display on show by Spurs, it is thankful that the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose will representing England in the European Championships in the summer.
