Stoke again failed to score in a disappointed game which left Manager, Johan Boskamp fuming after the game with the Potter’s failure to finish. He told the official site: ‘We created many chances, but didn’t finish them, it’s not the first time, it just goes on and on’.

Watford’s goal came in the 54th minute after Carl Hoefkens failed to clear the ball under pressure and Eagles put the ball across Simonsen into the net.

Same old story from Stoke at the moment, I’m afraid, poor defending with no player up front able to finish and plenty of chances go begging.
As Boskamp said earlier this season when asked why we were, at the time, winning so many away games ‘All we do is score one more goal than the other team’. Trouble is, that’s what we can’t do at the moment.
