Tottenham wide man David Bentley has been linked with a move to the Potteries this summer as the club looks to add a new wave of talent to the squad.

Bentley, who moved to London for a fee around £15 million, has failed to live up to his price tag and has lost out to Aaron Lennon in both club and international football. However, where better to revive a failing career then the Britannia Stadium?

The position on the wide right of the Stoke midfield is up for grabs with the expected departure of Liam Lawrence and Rory Delap isnt getting any younger. Bentley may not be the Usain Bolt of the footballing world but his quick thinking, intelligent nature will certainly appeal to gaffer Tony Pulis.

Agreed it is a long-shot and the arrival of Bentley would significantly raise the profile of the club but Spurs are quickly running out of patience with the former Arsenal man and his days may seemingly be numbered.
