Stoke City have today confirmed that we have parted company with manager Gary Rowett and are on the hunt for our third manager within the space of a year.
With Mark Hughes getting his marching orders as we struggled again in the Premier League, the laughable appointment of Paul Lambert ended in a fashion most expected and aspirations didn’t really rise as Gary Rowett was appointed to lead us back to the top flight.

With Stoke being huge early season favourites for promotion, poor form and a dodgy defence means that even with some improvements after our start to life in the Championship, we are down in 14th place in the table and have only mustered eight wins from 26 matches.
With a run (again) of two defeats in our last three games, it was finally enough for the Board and Rowett has received his marching orders and we now look to get an appointment right for a change.
Rory Delap takes caretaker charge in the interim, assisted by Kevin Russell and Andy Quy.
Taking a quick look on social media I’m not sure who is actually happier – Stoke fans, or Derby fans.
