Tuesday evening’s midweek Championship clash for Stoke City finished in yet another draw as we travelled to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United.
1-1 on the night following a late Joe Allen effort means the evening could’ve been far worse than it was given the high hopes and early season expectations surrounding the club and we are sat in 17th place in the second tier table, with only four wins to our name from the opening 14 matches.
GR: We are four games unbeaten away from home and if you look at the Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United matches then we should have won those two rather than drawn.

It is still all to play for though if we can find some form and momentum.
This weekend we travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City and manager Gary Rowett met with the media yesterday to discuss the game, and one portion of his speech wasn’t well received by a number of Stoke fans and they took to social media to point out what they believed was wrong with his words.
Stop with the should Gaz, We’ve had that for the last 2-3 seasons…should, would, if, but…..just get the job done and win games….cheers mate ????????????

Should have had, could have had. But we didn't have. Same old stuff for two years or more.

It’s clear we need wins and quickly, not only to improve the outlook of the second tier table for the fans but to improve confidence in the group as that is undoubtedly having its own effect now. It’s far from season over but we will reach the tipping point where promotion is off the table and given the frustration in the fanbase already, come that point it might not be pretty.
