After failing to show up for training with Stoke City in Germany on Wednesday, Badou Ndiaye is now due to join his teammates on Thursday.
The was speculation that the player could have been looking for a move out of the club with several interested parties hoping to prise him away from the Potteries, including his old club Galatasaray who Stoke paid £14 million for his services just last season.
Boss Gary Rowett is not keen to let the 27-year-old leave after he proved to be one of the better players towards the end of the last term.
Stoke’s relegation to the Championship has alerted clubs including the Turkish champions and the player himself is believed to be unhappy, but Rowett says it will be Stoke who will control what happens next.
After the initial reports of his lateness, it turns out that he was given extra time off but should have reported in on Wednesday along with striker Mame Diouf, who did show.
Stoke have the player under contract until 2022 and will want a fee exceeding what they paid before there could be any talk of him leaving.
Speaking in Germany, Rowett told the Sentinel: “We know he’s a top player and he will be coveted by a lot of teams across Europe but he’s our player, he’s under contract with us and ultimately he remains our player. We’ll bring him back in, we’ll work with him.
“Because they’ve had three weeks off it might take a week or two to get going again.”
He was always a bizarre signing. No real pedigree, not played in a decent league and hardly a youngster! Way too much money for what we got.

He was ok amongst a load of very average performers. I for one won’t lose much sleep as long as we get our money back.

If he wants a move, he should go about it in the RIGHT way. Stoke don't need to sell him. Keep turning bids down till Transfer window closes, he plays with the U23's till January. Players aren't above the Club.

Never understood this. Doesn’t look good to prospective buyers, showing that kind of indiscipline. See you later, Badou, thanks for absolutely nothing.

Dont let him go for less than the release clause. These players have to learn at some point they cant just get wot they want when they want. The rest of us have to live that way
