Stoke City have had an offer for another player turned down, this time the speculation surrounds defender Vlad Chiriches, according to the publication Pro Sport in Romania.
The defender has been plying his trade with Napoli of late but has had time in the English Premier League playing for Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
His time in London did not win him many plaudits but he has been slowly building his career again after moving to Napoli in 2015, he is also been a regular in the Romanian national side.
The reports say that the Potters offered £13.3 million for the 28-year-old as new manager Gary Rowett sets about strengthening Stoke at the back having worked on the attack since his arrival.
Chiriches can play at either as a centre back or in midfield, but Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is not looking to off-load the player just yet even though he struggled last season.
Stoke have lost Kurt Zouma and Kevin Wimmer since their relegation from the top flight last season.
