Carlo Nash looks set to become the Potters’ new third string keeper.

Nash had been released by Everton, but was still training with them in Australia when he got the call from Stoke and has flown to the Potters’ pre-season base in Austria for further talks.

It looks very likely that he’ll sign a one year deal with the Potters and will start his second stint at the Brit after he spent the latter stages of our promotion season here as the first choice keeper whilst on loan from Wigan just over two years ago.

He’ll be a popular and reliable backup to Thomas Sorensen and Asmir Begovic after Steve Simonsen left to join Sheffield United a couple of weeks ago.
