Former Stoke manager, Johan Boskamp has been sacked by Belgium club, Standard Liege after only four league games.

This was confirmed in a news conference on Wednesday night where the club announced that Michel Preud’Homme would take over as head coach.

Standard have only picked up two points from their first four league matches and lie in 16th place – three places off the bottom. Last week they were knocked out of the Champions League qualifying rounds by Steaua Bucharest.
