West Bromwich Albion are reported to be weighing up a move for Stoke defender, Carl Hoefkens.

The Birmingham Mail are saying that the Baggies are preparing a bid for the Belgium international who has settled in well since being signed by former manager, Johan Boskamp two years ago.

If any offer was high enough to tempt Peter Coates, then this would put a big hole in Tony Pulis’ pre-season plans and worry fans further as they still wait for the promised influx of new players.

The Potters’ highly successful back row have been the subject of several transfer stories this summer, with Danny Higginbotham getting interest from Sunderland and Andy Griffin apparently on his way to Pride Park rather than back to the Britannia Stadium.

I don’t believe we need any more uncertainly at this point in time and, hopefully, the club will make it clear that he isn’t going anywhere
