Stoke to move for Saints defender?

Stoke City are reported to have a agreed a £1.5m deal for Southampton defender, Andrew Davies.

Although the Potters have already signed two players today, they are still keen to bolster the squad as the season gets under way tomorrow.

The report, by the Mail on Sunday, claims that a deal has been done and that the Potters just have to agree personal terms with the 23 year old former England U21 international.

Davies only joined the Saints on loan last year and made his move to the south coast permanent in January this year and has played mainly as a central defender, but can play at right back.
