Stoke youngsters Florent Cuvelier and Matthew Lund are set to be sent out on loan.

Stoke`s Director of Football John Rudge confessed that the players will be moving on temporarily.

He told The Sentinel: ‘We want to get them out playing regular football in pressure situations, not sitting on the bench, and so it’s important to get the right clubs for them,’ he said.

‘Then we’ll get them back at the end of December to re-assess things.’

The duo spent last season on loan with Belgian Cuvelier, 19, spending time at Walsall whilst Lund, 21, was on loan at Bristol Rovers.

Both players could possibly return to the club`s they spent time with last season, but Stoke are rumoured to be stewing over a number of options for the players.

Cuvelier, who recently signed a contract at the Britannia Stadium, admitted he is open to another loan spell away from the club as he believes it is vital to his progression.

He told The Sentinel: “I really enjoyed playing in front of 20,000 crowds in our away games at Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday.

‘When I had played in the reserves it was in front of four people and two dogs.

‘They were hard games with Walsall, but I enjoyed the pressure.”
