Tony Pulis will explore the loan market following the arrival of only one new signing on transfer deadline day.
City captured the impressive signing of former Preston and Portsmouth striker Ricardo Fuller from Southampton, however many supporters were expecting at least a couple of new faces as well as the Fuller addition.
The Potters boss will be looking to sign a keeper on loan, who is likely to be Steve Simonsen’s understudy, and Vital Stoke understands Portsmouth’s Jamie Ashdown is a target.
Pulis told The Sentinel: ‘I am still looking to bring in one or two players on loan who will add something to the side.
Obviously if we could have signed some permanently then we would have, so now we have to start looking at the loan market.’
The Stoke manager denied he had enquired about Birmingham’s Stephen Clemence, following strong rumours he would make a move to City.
