Stoke striker Mama Sidibe has rejected two offers from the club to extend his contract it has been confirmed today. The Mali international`s current deal runs out in the summer and although he is eager to stay he is still awaiting the right deal for him.

Sidibe will want to impress manager Pulis this weekend as he will make his third consecutive start since his 9 month lay-off. With other target man James Beattie struggling with knee and ankle injuries and with his bust-up with Pulis unable to escape the press, the 6“5 striker has been given a great chance to re-establish himself back in the team.

Sidibe`s spokesman, Gregory Dakad, told Sky Sports today that ‘Mamady has only just returned to playing and he wants to repay Stoke for the faith they have show in him”.
“He is out of contract in the summer that is true, and he is keen to remain with Stoke – but so far has rejected two or three offers from them”. ‘Mamady is very happy at Stoke, but he needs the right deal.’

Sidibe is so keen to cement his place in the regular eleven that he is even prepared to reject his country`s wishes for him to go to the African Cup of Nations this January.
