Stoke City youngster, Adam Rooney has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the UEFA U19 Championship to round off a very promising start to his career in the Potteries.

The 19 year old has had a hectic last few weeks, netting his first four senior goals in 5 appearances for the Potters, concluding with a hat trick on the last day of the season.

The Irish U19 squad will face Slovakia, Georgia and Turkey during the Group 2 ‘elite’ round. The competition starts on 16th May with Ireland’s first game on the 19th May.
