Stoke are set to move for former Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander on-loan from Turkish side Galatasaray.

Pulis will move for the Swedish striker on-loan until the end of the season if Peter Crouch’s proposed move to QPR is completed.

Elmander has fallen down the pecking order at the Turkish Super Lig side after Didier Drogba’s arrival at the Turk Telekum Arena.

The 31-year-old striker has scored scored 16 goals in 49 appearances since his free transfer from Bolton in 2011.

The 6ft 2in target man has also enjoyed at Feyernoord, Brondby and Toulouse.

He has also won 68 caps for Sweden, scoring 18 goals.
