Stoke are reportedly set to bid around £4 million for Portsmouth midfielder Kevin Prince-Boateng. The 23 year-old starred at the World Cup for Ghana and has been attracting interest from all over Europe.

Pulis has highlighted the central midfield region as a area he feels he needs to strengthen before the new season starts and the creative Prince-Boateng, brother of Manchester City defender Jerome, would be a real coup considering sides such as Lazio and Liverpool have been linked over the past few weeks.

The former Spurs man was the shining light in a dim season for Portsmouth last season and the south coast side will be looking to sell to raise much needed cash.

With one linked to be coming in, another is rumoured to be finally leaving as Blackpool are reportedly ready to bid £1.5 million for James Beattie and meet the Potters asking price. The 32 year-old would prefer to remain at the Britannia but Stoke are looking to get rid.
