Tony Pulis has dropped a hint that Lee Hendrie may stay at Stoke for another month.

After Stoke’s 1-0 win over West Brom he said that he hoped to get Martin O’Neill to agree to take up the option of a third month. Hendrie’s initial two month loan period is due to expire this weekend, but there is an option of a third, IF Hendrie and O’Neill agree.

He told the official site: ‘I spoke with Martin O’Neill the other day and I think we will be able to keep Lee for another month. Lee is playing exceptionally well for us and his confidence is growing with every game he plays, so hopefully by Monday we will have something concrete.’

Stoke moved into 6th place after a comfortable win over WBA, leapfrogging the Baggies in the process, thanks to a first half penalty from Danny Higginbotham.
