Bad boy Berger

Aston Villa manager, Martin O’Neill has said that he only agreed that Patrik Berger should go out on loan to Stoke after he breached club rules.

It’s not clear what has happened and O’Neill has refused to go into details but he told Villa’s official site: ‘The call came late yesterday, just before the deadline, and after disciplining Patrik earlier this week, he was not in my plans for the foreseeable future. So I thought it was in everyone’s best interests to let Patrik go out on loan and he links-up with Lee Hendrie at Stoke.’

A case of ‘bad boys together’ then as our current favourite player has hardly behaved himself off the field in the past.

But if he performs as well as Hendrie, Stoke fans will not care what he has been up to back in Birmingham.
