Stoke striker, Ricardo Fuller has flown back to Jamaica to sort out a ‘personal domestic problem’ and may miss Saturday’s match against QPR.

Tony Pulis gave his permission for Fuller to fly back and told the Sentinel that he accepted that these things sometimes happened: ‘We could have been bloody-minded and refused him permission to return home, but it’s one of those things he can’t sort out from here, and I understand that.

‘If you respect senior players in such circumstances, they usually respect you and the club in return. Refusing to help them can just create unnecessary problems.’

Vincent Pericard would be expected to replace Fuller if he is unable to start on Saturday with Sammy Bangoura providing backup on the bench, but this is further complicated as Bangoura has also been given leave of absence to return to Belgium so he could be at the birth of his latest child.
