Come on Pulis, sort them out!

It’s time Tony Pulis laid down the law to those players who think they’re bigger than the club.

Putting today’s thrashing at Chelsea to one side, TP needs to have serious words with certain players and just remind them that they play for Stoke City, not the other way around.

Last season, the team spirit was characterised by togetherness on and off the pitch but, this time around, there have been too many public fallings out between the players and their manager.

It’s the strikers that seem to be the main problem. James Beattie’s incident in the dressing room with his boss after the Arsenal match before Christmas, Tuncay twice refusing to sit in the dug-out with the rest of the team after being subbed and now Dave Kitson doing the same (and directing a few expletives at the management in the process) in the full glare of the TV cameras.

What is it with these players? Rumour has it that Tuncay and Beattie head the wage list at the Brit – do they think that they’re too big for this club?

After Tuncay’s departure last week he was rightly booed by the Boothen End. Dave Kitson seemed to have been getting his footballing career back on track in recent weeks and yet his petulance is likely to have pushed him back up the ‘for sale’ list along with Beattie.

In the wake of the defeat, Tone has ordered his players back in tomorrow on their day off to view the whole, sorry 90+ minutes again. Let’s hope he also takes the opportunity to have a few words with the likes of Mr. Kitson.
