Collins on brink of international recall

Stoke defender Danny Collins is expected to be recalled to the Wales squad for the first time in three years. The 30 year-old fell out with former manager John Toshack, so hasn`t been able to add to his 7 international caps.

But following the resignation of Toshack a couple of weeks ago, Collins has re-opened the door for a return to the international fold. And Caretaker manager Brian Flynn first squad is likely to include the former Sunderland man, who has now established himself as Stoke`s first choice left-back.

Wales are currently struggling in their Euro Qualification group. After a 1-0 defeat away in Montenegro, they face a stiff challenge to qualify from a group that also contains Switzerland and, of course, England.
