Tomorrow`s Premier League game between Stoke and Burnley is the latest match to fall victim to the weather. Although the pitch is in fine condition due to under soil heating, safety concerns in and around the stadium have grown due to snow and ice and the game has now been postponed.

Safety experts were called to take a look at the car parks and walkways and they have been deemed unsafe. No new date has yet been agreed but the Potters will certainly be disappointed.

Stoke were going marginal favourites of winning the game following the recent series of events at Burnley, who had a care taker manager in charge and who`s morale is low. Stoke would have been looking to take full advantage of the Burnley`s situation.

The Clarets will be looking to announce a new manager soon and probably in time for the re-arranged fixture. Stoke Assistant Peter Reid is one who has been discussed about possibly taking over from Owen Coyle.

The Postponement now gives the Potters extra time to prepare for the visit of Liverpool next Saturday.
