Sam Bangoura has been named in the reserve match against Walsall tonight at the Britannia Stadium.

How far he away from first team action is hard to tell with Tony Pulis recently rubbishing his efforts in his belated pre-season training sessions. But Stoke fans must hope that he will be soon be judged fit enough to start a first team game and that he can start to rebuild the many fences with fans and players alike by finding his goal scoring touch.

Some further good news was the inclusion of Adam Rooney after suffering a knee ligament injury in pre-season. The youngster is best remembered for his hat-trick against Brighton in the final game of last season.
