Stoke striker Tuncay and his agent are suing former club Middlesbrough for around £900,000. The costs relate to unpaid money during his stint at the Teesside club which came to an end in the summer when he joined the Potters for £5.5 million.

The company representing Tuncay says the money is owed for economic and sporting rights. Tuncay and Middlesbrough reportedly struck a deal that would see them pay him £3,544, 667 million for the rights. £3million of that has been paid but the further £544,667 has, so far, not been paid.

All the while Tuncay`s agent claims that he is owed £400, 000 by the club after striking a £1.2 million deal for his part in the move that took him to Middlesbrough in 2007. The third instalment hasn`t been paid and so Middlesbrough is facing two High Court actions.

As if he needed any more money following recent reports about his wages. I do however think Middlesbrough wont want this being blown up by the media and will want this settled quickly.

Tuncay will be in action later tonight against Burnley where Stoke are hoping to edge even further away from the relegation places and a win would all but confirm their status for next season.
