Mark Hughes could welcome back skipper Ryan Shawcross to his matchday squad tomorrow against Southampton following his return to full training this week.
The return of the centre half could ease the pressure on a threadbare defence, following injuries to Glen Johnson, Phil Bardsley and long term injury Marc Wilson, leaving the Potters with a makeshift back four for a number of weeks now.
Hughes could also welcome back Charlie Adam, who managed 60 minutes this week in an under-21 fixture.
Erik Pieters is a slight doubt for Stoke but is likely to be declared fit ahead of the game.
