Gerry Taggart is concerned that any change in Manager at Stoke will mean that he will also leave the club.

Taggart has only played twice this season and after a recent leg operation has probably played his last professional match. He has filled in the time this season going for his coaching badges and assisting Johan Boskamp. He is often to be seen directing play from the technical area, allowing the Bos to sit on the bench for most of the game.

‘It’s definitely a decision that needs to be made sooner rather than later for the benefit of the football club,’ Taggart said. ‘If the manager does go, then I suppose that is the end for me at Stoke.

‘Obviously a new manager coming in will probably want to bring his own staff in. It would be a shame, absolutely, if I have to go, but it’s something out of my control and that’s the nature of the game.
‘At the end of the day, Stoke City is bigger than anyone.’
