The Potters have a lot to prove to fans as they try and put Saturday’s dismal showing against Burnley behind them and attempt to get their first win at the Brit since October 6th. Three consecutive home defeats have left fans slightly more than disenchanted.

QPR will be tough opposition and even more desperate for points as they lie in 22nd place. Rangers’ new manager, Gigi De Canio will be looking for results to change as Rangers fans are starting to enjoy their football again after some impressive performances on the pitch – even if the results have not yet gone their way.

Vital Quotes:

John Eustace has acknowledged that the players know that they must get the three points on Tuesday night.

Stoke City Team News:

Stoke will welcome back Ricardo Fuller after his one match suspension. Demar Phillips played no part in the Reserves 1-0 win against Shrewsbury Town so it’s likely he will be included. Liam Lawrence is a doubt after he was pulled from the team on Saturday with a suspect hamstring problem.

Bob Malcolm could be replaced by Sampsa Timoska after he failed to impress in his debut on Saturday. Dexter Blackstock could be rested after playing his first match in 6 weeks on Saturday after injury.

He has since done the rounds at Preston, Hull, Plymouth, Norwich and Leicester. There’s not many more Championship clubs for him to play for….

Match Facts & Stats

Recent encounters have been a bit ‘lively’ both on and off the field, most notable was the match a couple of seasons ago when QPR keeper, Simon Royce was bundled to the floor by a Potters fan at the end of the game and QPR were subsequently fined by the League for ‘failing to control their players’ as they all piled in to assist.

Ref Watch:

The man in black is the infamous Uriah Rennie – just back from injury himself.
