The Potters still seem keen to get another striker in on loan even though they signed Jon Parkin from Hull last week.

The latest candidate is Portsmouth striker, Svetoslav Todorov who has not figured in manager, Harry Redknapp’s plans this season, but he has not written off the 28 year old Bulgarian international: ‘Of course Toddy’s got a chance of playing for us this season. No-one has to tell me about Toddy. I was the one who bought him here and stuck by him when some people were booing him soon after he arrived.

Adding: ‘No-one has looked after Toddy better than I have. But he needs to play regularly. Leicester want him. Stoke want him.’
