Stoke City are again set to raid Tottenham Hotspur, this time for Tom Huddlestone.

Manager Tony Pulis is rumoured to be trying to strike a deal to bring the England international on a season long loan deal to the Britannia Stadium.

Huddlestone, who was side lined for the best part of last season, has been told by Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas that he can leave White Hart Lane temporarily to gain first team football.

The central midfielder has had to have two operations on his ankle in recent years but has had a full pre-season for Spurs`.

A loan deal would work for both parties, as Pulis is looking to inject a creative spark into the middle of the park and Huddlestone is in search of regular football.

The 25-year-old has been capped for England three times, whilst the former Derby midfielder has made over 100 first team appearances for Tottenham, scoring 8 goals.
