Stoke City have sold over 15,000 season tickets as fans flock back to the Brit for the Potters’ first season in the Premier League.

Season ticket sales have held up well over the past few years, but this year’s sales have already far eclipsed last year’s record 9,000 season ticket sales. Records were being broken even before the season was over as the ‘early bird’ sales went past the 10,500 barrier. These ‘mid sales’ have added another 5,000 and we’d expect another thousand or two before the season begins in August.

But if you want to be sure of a ticket for every game, you’d better get on down to the Brit fairly sharpish. The club have said that they will be a limit to the number of season ticket sales sold to make sure there are enough match day tickets available, but haven’t yet announced what the cut-off point will be.

With the club limiting the number of visiting supporters next season to the Premier League minimum of only 3,000 in the South Stand and allowing for space to segregate both sets of fans, we would estimate that there should be around 6,000 to 7,000 match day tickets available for the casual Stoke supporter next season. So those fans not able to commit themselves to every game better start planning early on which games they want to go to. The fixtures are to be announced in a month’s time and fans may also have to be slightly more flexible where they want to sit than they have been used to in the past as we’d expect the Boothen End, in particular, to be a virtual sell-out for most games.
