Stoke City have decided not to appeal against Ricardo Fuller’s sending off in the game against Coventry.

Tony Pulis had suggested just after the game that he thought the club had grounds for an appeal, but with the Sky TV cameras on hand that night, it is clear that he did raise his elbow at the Coventry defender even though no injury was caused, therefore the referee was within the rules to send him off.

Fuller will miss the next three matches against Crystal Palace, Hull and West Brom and both Vincent Pericard and Sam Bangoura will be eyeing up the vacant slot up front.
