Stoke legend, Terry Conroy is still in a ‘critical but stable’ condition after suffering an aneurysm on Sunday and admitted to the North Staffs Hospital.

But the news this afternoon is positive as it’s now been revealed that he’s left the intensive care unit where he’d been since his admission.

Former team mate, Gordon Banks went to see him yesterday and he said that he was able to talk. Terry is very well known as the club’s match day host in the hospitality areas and is always remembered as one of the two goal scorers (along with George Eastham) in our historic League Cup victory over Chelsea in 1972.

All our best wishes and thoughts go to Terry and his family at this worrying time and we look forward to his speedy recovery, hopefully in time for our semi-final date at Wembley next month.
