Stoke forced to rearrange City match

Stoke City have been forced to rearrange two more matches after Greater Manchester police insisted that the Man City game should be moved.

We were expecting rearranged games due to scheduling requirements of the TV companies, but the GMP seem to have got it in for Stoke fans this week after they first insisted that the Potters’ trip to Wigan was moved to a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday November 8th and now they’ve got the match at Eastlands moved on 24 hours to Sunday 26th October (kick-off 3pm).

This has now meant that the Potters’ televised encounter with Sunderland on the following Tuesday night also had to be cancelled or risk the team having to play two matches within 48 hours. The Black Cats will now visit the Brit the following day – Wednesday 29th October (kick-off now 7.45pm) but without the Sky TV cameras.

So Potters fans will have to suffer three consecutive games on Sunday afternoons in October as the match against Spurs is being televised on 19th October with a 4pm kick-off and the away game at Portsmouth was rearranged some time ago due to their UEFA cup commitments.
