Stoke City have been drawn at home in the third round of the Carling Cup and will face Blackpool.

The Seasiders will be buoyed after their midweek demolition of Wigan at Bloomfield Road and will no doubt fancy their chances against some more Premier League opposition.

Certainly the Potters’ second string will have to be more up for the task than they were in Wednesday’s away game against Leyton Orient when it took a great strike in extra time from Dave Kitson to break the deadlock.

The match will take place at the Brit during the week commencing 21st September and will be the first time that Tone will come have up against his old team mate, Ian Holloway, since we condemned Leicester City to a season of League 1 football in May 2008.
