Southampton want Pulis as new boss

The national media are reporting that Southampton are prepared to wait until the end of this season in order to appoint Tony Pulis as their new manager.

Since Pulis still lives in Bournemouth he has long been linked to the vacant post at St. Mary’s and we’d have been amazed if he would want to jump ship whilst the Potters still have a realistic chance of promotion to the Premier League.

But I’m even more surprised that the Saints are prepared to steer a rudderless ship for the remainder of the season just to see if Pulis can be tempted in May should the Potters not gain promotion.
