Should Stoke risk Fuller against United?

Ricardo Fuller is said to have made another miraculous recovery from his second dislocated shoulder, but should he be risked so soon?

Ric’s shoulder problems continued last Saturday as he was forced off at Bolton with another recurrence after an innocuous challenge just after coming on as a sub.

The club have now said that he’s going to be fit to play against Manchester United at the Brit on Sunday. I’m no medical expert, but this doesn’t seem to be an injury that seems likely to go away anytime soon.

Surely it would be best for both Ric and the team that they try and sort it out once and for all – if that means he misses the next few weeks, then that may be preferable to the constant worry every time he goes down after a tackle.
