Shawcross wins C Palace man of the match poll

Ryan Shawcross won the Vital Stoke man of the match award for his performance in the Potters 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

The central defender had a superb display in Stoke`s defence but will be disappointed not to gain a clean sheet.

The Englishman had a superb battle with Palace`s Marouane Chamakh and came out the victor on more than one occasion.

The 27-year old receives 5 maximum Player of the season points after winning the poll with 33% of the vote, beating keeper Asmir Begovic (19%) who receives 3pts and Geoff Cameron, Steven N`Zonzi and Jonathan Walters (16%) who receives 1pt each.
