Russell leaves for Canaries

Darel Russell has left the Potters and rejoined his former club, Norwich City in a £410,000 deal.

Instead of Tony Pulis signing new players a key player has now left the Britannia. The club are attempting to put a brave face on the transfer by pointing out that he could have left for free at the end of this season, but it will be another hole in the manager’s plans with the possibility that Carl Hoefkens could also be moving to West Brom soon.

In other news, Andy Griffin’s future does not yet seem clear as reports are suggesting that he has turned down an offer from Derby County. Whether this means the Potters are still in with a chance of signing the Portsmouth defender or just that he just after a better offer from the Rams remains to be seen.
