Mike Jones will be the man in the charge of Stoke`s visit to Goodison Park to face Roberto Martinez`s Everton this weekend.

Jones has refereed five times this season handing out 12 yellow cards and one red card, at an average of 2.6 cards per game.

The Cheshire F.A. referee was promoted to the Premier League select group of referee`s in 2008 and refereed the Football League Trophy final in 2009.

The official refereed Stoke twice last season. He was the man in the middle of Stoke`s 2-2 home draw against Wigan, where he handed out two yellow cards. Jones also was in charge of this fixture last season, where Stoke lost 1-0 at Goodison Park, he handed out four yellow cards, three to Stoke players.

The 45-year-old officiated Everton another three times last season. The other three fixtures resulted in draws for Everton. Chester born Jones was in charge of the Toffee`s home draws against Newcastle (2-2), Norwich (1-1) and Aston Villa (3-3). He handed out 19 yellow cards in the fixtures.

R Ganfield and M Wilkes are the assistant referees.
