Ref Watch: Dean to officiate Leicester City v Stoke City

Mike Dean has been named as the man in the middle when Stoke visit Claudio Ranieri`s Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this weekend.

The 47-year-old was promoted to the Premier League select group of referee`s in 2000 and was then promoted to the FIFA list in 2003 until standing down in 2013.

Dean`s biggest fixture to date was the 2011 League cup final between Birmingham and Arsenal.

He has been in charge of 18 fixtures so far this season, handing out 65 yellow cards and six red cards at an average of 3.94 cards per game.

The Cheshire FA has been in charge of Stoke twice this season; their 1-1 draw at Norwich and 2-0 defeat at Sunderland. He handed out seven yellow cards and one red card; three yellows being handed to Stoke players, whilst Shawcross saw the red.

Wirral born Dean has been in charge of Leicester City twice this season. He was in charge of the Foxes victories at home against Aston Villa (3-2) and Crystal Palace (1-0). He handed out seven yellow cards over the fixtures; five being handed to a Leicester City player.
