Mike Dean will be the man in charge when Stoke visit the KC Stadium to face Steve Bruce`s Hull City live on Sky Sports on Saturday evening.

Dean has refereed 10 times this season handing out 34 yellow cards and two red cards, at an average of 3.6 cards per game.


The Cheshire F.A. referee was promoted to the Premier League select group of referee`s in 2000 and later promoted to the FIFA list in 2003. Dean`s biggest achievement was taking charge of European Championship fixtures.


The official refereed Stoke twice last season, where the Potters fail to win either fixture. The Staffordshire outfit lost away at Swansea (3-1) and drew at home to West Brom (0-0) under the stewardship of the Dean. He handed out 4 yellow cards over the fixtures, two to Stoke players.

Dean has been in charge of Stoke once this season in the Potters away defeat at the Emirates Stadium, where they lost 3-1 against Arsenal. He handed out 2 yellow cards, both to Stoke players.


The 45-year-old was last in charge of a Hull fixture in the 2009/10 fixture where he was in charge of the Tigers defeat against Aston Villa at the KC Stadium. The Wirral born ref handed out 4 yellow cards in the game, 2 to Hull players.
