Stoke winger Matthew Etherington believes he is finally starting to play his best football for the club since his £2.5 million move in January. Since joining he has been inconsistent but now he thinks he has rekindled some of that old form.

Talking to the BBC he said “I`ve enjoyed it here since day one but I think my form definitely has gone up a couple of notches in the last few games”, he added “I`m happy with how things are going, we`ve been doing really well lately”.

The 28 year old enjoyed a man of the match performance in Saturday`s 2-2 and scored a tremendous volley to cap off a great day for him. ‘I caught the volley really sweetly and I’m just disappointed it wasn’t enough to win the game,’ He said, “At 2-0 up, we should be seeing games like that out. We usually do,’

Now the former Spurs and West Ham winger has to set his sights ahead to Stoke`s league game at Hull on Sunday in front of the Sky cameras. A game I fancy us to win.
