Stoke City striker, Mamady Sidibe has signed a new three year contract with the Potters.

The 27 year old Mali international’s contract was due to expire in the summer and the news that he has signed a new contract should please most fans.

Sidibe was signed from Gillingham by Tony Pulis just days before he was sacked by the Icelandic board in July 2005 and although he has never been a prolific scorer (only 14 goals in 92 appearances at Stoke) his ability in the air and in holding the ball up for his fellow strikers have made him a regular first team choice for both Johan Boskamp and Tony Pulis.
