Leon Cort celebrated his first Championship game as a bona-fide Stoke City player with the highest score of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, over the weekend taking him into the Top 20.

Cort secured a £1.2million switch to the Potters last week after impressing on loan this season and responded with 49 points – his highest score of the campaign to date – in the 3-1 defeat of Preston.

The impressive score saw Cort climb 32 places into 20th overall, making him the 5th ranked defender in the Championship.

The Potters have four players in the current top 10, and six in the top 100.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Stoke players are:

Liam Lawrence 2nd overall, 1st Ranked Midfielder Score: 440

Ryan Shawcross 5th overall, 1st Ranked Defender Score:411

Richard Cresswell 9th overall, 4th Ranked Striker Score: 381

Ricardo Fuller 10th overall, 5th Ranked Striker Score: 379

Leon Cort 20th overall, 5th Ranked Defender Score: 346

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
