Long-term Potters target Joe Ledley has turned down a new contract offer from Cardiff in the latest episode of this long running drama.

The in-demand midfielder almost moved to the Potters for £6 million pounds last summer but has also since attracted the interest of Everton.

The Welshman told the Sun newspaper that “It`s down to the club. At the moment the contract is not right”.

After capturing both Dean Whitehead and Diego Arismendi this summer, it would seem that Ledley would find it difficult to earn a place in an already competitive central midfield area.

But Pulis is a long term admirer and likes what the Bluebird has to offer so a deal may not be the biggest shock in history.
