Hull City have recalled Jon Parkin from a very successful loan spell at Stoke City in which he has scored three goals in five starts.

Although he had planned to be here for the remainder of the season, the recall has been activated on 24 hours notice and therefore he will effectively return immediately.

Hull are still desperate to get out of the relegation dog fight and Parkin’s return to form at the Brit has obviously not gone unnoticed and Tony Pulis will be very unhappy to see The Beast leaving so soon, especially with Mamady Sidibe out injured and a big game at Cardiff looming next weekend.

Hull City fans were glad to see him go to Stoke originally, but now seem to have changed their minds. But maybe Parkin’s return to form has more to do with the quality of the rest of the team he’s playing with compared to those on the east coast?

However, Potters fans will not have to wait long to see The Beast play again. The Tigers are due at the Brit on April 21st in a match that Hull had originally stated Parkin could not play in whilst on loan.
