One of the last minute transfers during deadline day was Tuncay leaving The Britannia Stadium for German side Wolfsburg, but it didn’t mean to say that Potters fans were happy about it.

So Vital Stoke earlier this week poised the question; ‘Has Tuncay‘s sale being a good one? Many people have responded and here are the results:

Lost his desire; YES it is 20%

Superb player; NO it isn’t 74%

Not sure; only Pulis knows 6%

Well it’s a unanimous vote! It looks like the sale, according to fans, hasn’t been the best of deals. Many now worry about the quality of strike force at Tony’s disposal, however Pulis will argue that Mama Sidibe will be back to back-up the likes of Ricardo Fuller, Kenwyne Jones and the now off-the-mark John Carew.

  • I agree he was a good player, but selling him was the right thing to do – we can’t always just sell the poor players. Tunny wanted to leave, has never been happy here and we got back the vast majority of what we paid for him – good deal IMHO

  • A player who doesn’t want to play, will not play for the club to his full potential. But we didn’t make the most of the window when It came to adding strikeforce, yes Carew is a good player but we could of done with a couple more perhaps

  • Agreed Rhin0 we could have got another one in, but signings don’t always fall as you’d hope. Carew will do us for this season, but I’m not sure he’s do us for next – the summer is a far better time to get new players in.
Can we all move on from Tuncay now?

  • He should definitely should not have been transferred. 27,500 people who chanted his name at every home game can`t all be wrong.

  • Mamma is a good bloke with his heart in the right place, but is no where near the quality of Tuncay. Definitely should of made more use of the window
