Gally out of the reckoning

Stoke City loanee, Paul Gallagher is likely to be sidelined as Tony Pulis admits that he hasn’t done as well as he would have expected.

Gally was the pick of the bunch during his first loan spell two years ago during the Boskamp era and fans were looking forward to more of the same when he rejoined on loan from Blackburn Rovers earlier this year. But this time around he has found it hard to break into the team and Pulis has admitted that he’s been disappointed with the 23 year old striker.

He told the BBC: ‘He hasn’t done as well as the other players. I didn’t see him the first time around.

‘Last time he was here the club was going nowhere so he was probably the top player here. There are good players as this football club now.’

He also revealed that Jon Parkin has failed to come up to scratch in his first season at the club. At the start of the season, TP complained that the Beast was failing to get his weight down and has been using him as a second half substitute when he needs to stir things up front.

So it seems likely that Gallagher will not be featuring in the final four matches and we’ll have to wait and see if the Potters will look to offload the Beast in the summer along with Vincent Pericard, who is currently away on loan at Southampton.
